Last week, Roy and fellow council members unveiled the brand-new sporting facilities at Georges Heights Oval! This incredible project, funded by Mosman Council and the NSW Government’s Football Legacy Fund, brings top-notch upgrades to our beloved oval.
The improvements include revamped change facilities, new storage areas, a modern kiosk, and beautiful outdoor furnishings. Plus, we’ve added new pathways, eco-friendly LED lighting, and lush landscaping to enhance the area’s environmental benefits.
These upgrades are all about boosting participation in female and mixed team sports, providing much-improved amenities for our local junior and senior football clubs, the cricket club, and local schools. The new facilities will be enjoyed by players, spectators, and visitors alike, creating a lasting legacy for our community.
As part of protecting our wonderful community, Roy Bendall recently stood up to protect the name of Chinamans Beach following racism concerns in an interview with 2GB.
Our heritage and history are important, and Roy is committed to preserving the character and identity of Mosman for future generations.
Listen to the full interview to hear how Roy defends our beloved beach and stay tuned for more updates on how we’re working to keep Mosman special!
